MAPINFO-L     The error message for MIDLOCI.dll is because the Oracle8i driver was selected to be installed as part of the RDBMS\ODBC portion of MapInfo and the Oracle8i client software is probably not installed on your system which this dll looks for on startup if present.

If you do not have the Oracle8i client installed, remove the midloci.dll from your MapInfo program folder and the error message will no longer occur.
