The International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) develops and transfers knowledge
on Geo-Information Management for Sustainable Development. ITC undertakes education, research and advisory services
in earth observation and spatial information collection, analysis and management.
It provides tools and methods for the exploitation and conservation of natural resources, particularly in developing countries.
Candidates for the position "Assistant Professor, Geo-information and Governance" should have:
PhD in geo-information science and communication technologies in public administration/management or a related field.
Proven research and practical experience (preferably 5-10 years) in information management in the public sector.
Practical experience in or affinity with information systems/infrastructure in public management (preferably) in developing countries.
Knowledge of and skills in the application of geo-information and communication technology in public administration/management.
Deadline: 11 May 2007.
