Earthzine Magazine seeks student essays on „Science Technology for Observing Earth’s Climate“ for International Contest.

Earthzine invites undergraduate and graduate students from around the world to submit an essay to its 2013 Student Essay Contest on „Science Technology for Observing Earth’s Climate.“ The contest offers students an opportunity to sketch visions and raise critical thoughts that can be discussed with Earthzine’s global readership.

Earth observation technology collects and processes data on climatic conditions on Earth. The 2013 Student Essay Contest is a platform to share views on Earth science technology, which includes hardware for data collection, computer infrastructures for data management, and software and algorithms for data analysis.

The essays can be reports on how you use Earth observation technology or your critical views on developments of these technologies. Submissions are due Sept. 3, 2013, winners will be announced on Oct.18, 2013.
