- CityGML
CityGML is an open data model and XML-based format for the storage and exchange of virtual 3D city models, realised as an application schema for the Geography Markup Language 3 (GML3) - LandXML

API
- GML4J
Java API for facilitating work with Geography Markup Language (GML). GML4J has been initially developed by Galdos Systems Inc for experimental purposes. It is now an open-source project.

Application Schemas and Profiles
- GML Application Schemas and Profiles
Geography Markup Language provides the basis for domain- or community-specific "Application Schemas", which in turn support data interoperability within a community of interest. Application schemas are normally designed using ISO 19103 conformant UML, and then the GML Application created by following the rules given in Annex E of ISO DIS 19136.

Applications

Artikel
- Where Is It Exactly?
Everybody's got to be somewhere. And the emerging Geography Markup Language (GML) provides a standard, text-based way to describe that somewhere.

Data
- TIGER/GML™ Download Page
einschl. Schemas - TIGER/GML Download Page - einschl. Schemas
- CityGML datasets
All datasets can be downloaded freely, but may be used for evaluation, research, and education purposes only. The GEORES (http://www.geores.de/) data set, for example, displays three LoD3 Building objects including the following feature types: GroundSurface, WallSurface, RoofSurface, BuildingInstallation, Window, Door. In addition, CityFurniture and SolitaryVegetation Object features have been modelled on the basis of CityGML's implicit geometry representation providing three levels of detail. The data set also includes a Road object that consists of various TrafficArea as well as AuxiliaryTrafficArea features. Considering the number of modelled objects and their detailed representation, the memory footprint of this CityGML file is relatively small. This is due to the usage of implicit geomety representations and the efficient data export from SketchUp™, which does not require face triangulation.
